....this comment is on a totally different subject.

I read your post about Steven Curtis Chapman & the accident that happened within their family.

If you feel called to action...try this website:
www.harrisonshope.org
It's a website devoted to car related accidents/fatalities relating to children.
My nephew was one of the 2003 fatalities.

With regard to backover fatalities, it just breaks my heart that the technology exists to prevent these types of things...but legislation does not mandate the safety features in cars...although that has been proposed.

...sorry for such a long comment. It's just kind of my soap-box thing.

As a parent, and as Riley's aunt, I just feel like every mother I can tell about these situations---the better.

I tell my mommy-friends: never, never, never under any circumstances leave your child unattended in the car...never, never, never leave your car unlocked---not in the driveway, not in the garage, not anywhere.
Pay attention to your automatic seats if you have that feature in your car. I was surprised to find out that yes, mine in fact DO move when the car is not even on. And, after reading some of the parent stories from Harrison's Hope and Kidsandcars.org, I found out that some children have died as a result of that "convenience" feature.

....and as related to the BabyStyle Northpark store: I'll be hitting that closing sale tomorrow! ...if there's anything left!!!
